Shining a light on our most hurt children

This is Samuel’s story, but he represents thousands of Canadian children just like him. Stigmatized and hidden away, they fall between the cracks in a Canadian Health Care and Disability System that is far from Universal. It lacks the capacity and knowledge to care for these, our most hurt children.

Samuel’s brain injury was largely preventable. A complete disregard for preventative medicine caused this, a lack of treatment options has limited his recovery, and a lack of Canadian research means no access to clinical trials in our own country, and no hopeful innovation.

The system needs to change.
